Love Mittens

En mi caso he usado Katia Merino 100.

(EN) My grandmoms taught not to put leftovers yarns in the garbage. My leftovers were to dew to knit something remarkable. I improvised this pattern for this leftovers yarns and that's the result.

MATERIALS:
  • Cable needles 3.5mm and cable of 80cm or double pointed needles.
  • Cable needles 4mm and cable of 80cm or double pointed needles.
  • 25 grams aprox. of  merino wool DK (11wpi) in red
  • 25 grams aprox. of  merino wool DK (11wpi) in black
I used in my case Katia Merino 100.

PATTERN:

With 3.5mm needles cast on 44 stitches. Knit 20 rows in ribbing 1/1 (knit 1, purl 1).
Change to 4mm needles and knit one row.
At this point, follow the chart with the increases for the finger and change colours when the chart indicates it.
Pay attention at row 19. Stop knitting 8 stitches before the end of the row and put theses stitches in a holder or a waste of yarn.
In row 20, put the 8 first stitches in the holder or the waste of yarn. Now you have 45 stitches in the needle and 16 stitches in the holder, to knit the finger later. Join in the round, and continue knitting in the round with the 45 stitches in the middle.
At the end of row 37, knit 3 rows in ribbing 1/1 and bind off all stitches.

For the finger, begins to knit at stitch number 53 (where you inserted the marker or the waste of yarn). Knit 8 rows and bind off all the stitches. Sew all threads.
